TwentyFour 12 2017 - Re Edit
Coverage of the TwentyFour12 Mountain bike event. There was a plethora of mud and rain on this shoot, which we decided to take creative advantage of by using a underwater housed camera with super slow-motion. This allowed us to get close and personal with he mud as the bikes streamed though it.
Wild Swimmers by Sean Valentine
Winner of the factual category of the Royal Television Society Devon & Cornwall student awards 2017. Wild swimming is growing increasingly popular with swimming communities popping up all over Britain. This film explores the individuals within one of these communities, and the reasons why they choose to swim in such cold waters, and the effect it has on their lives. Before I began filming, I decided it would be important to join the Devon & Cornwall Wild Swimming Community, of which this film focuses on and swim in the cold sea myself. This helped me show stories and experiences in the most genuine light possible. 40 Frames, part of the HOT'16 Degree Show, gives viewers a unique opportunity to see a diverse range of student work from BA(Hons) Media Arts. The work on display reveals a breath-taking mix of innovation and imagination. These students are the media and arts stars of the future!
